INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE(ICC) FAKIR MOHAN UNIVERSITY
An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is formed in workplaces and educational institutions to address complaints related to sexual harassment. Under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, every organization must establish an ICC to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual behavior of direct or implied (undertone) nature such as:
1.Physical contact and inappropriate touching.
2.Demand or request for sexual favors.
3.Making sexually colored remarks or comments.
4.Showing pornography or sharing obscene messages/images.
5.Sending inappropriate texts, emails, or social media messages.
6.Staring, gestures, or body language with sexual intent.
7.Any other unwelcome verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of sexual nature.
These acts are prohibited under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and are considered violations of workplace dignity and safety.
Sexual harassment is not only about the act itself, but also about the circumstances surrounding it—how, where, and under what conditions it happens.
1.A direct or indirect promise of favorable treatment at the workplace.
2.A direct or indirect threat of unfair or harmful treatment in employment.
3.A direct or indirect threat affecting current or future job position or status.

5.Subjecting a person to humiliating conduct that may impact their health or safety.
